The name “Induna”, meaning leader or headman in isiZulu reflects the essence of the shoe: strength, resilience, and leadership in any environment.
The Story Behind the Shoe
The idea for Induna Safety Wear sparked when our founder, Itumeleng Mpati, visited multiple industrial sites and noticed a recurring problem, workers compromising safety due to uncomfortable, heavy, or overpriced protective footwear. Determined to bridge the gap between affordability, durability, and comfort, Itumeleng partnered with expert designers and local manufacturers to develop a safety shoe that checks every box.
Through relentless research, on-site testing, and community feedback, Induna Safety Wear was born. The shoe that works as hard as the people who wear it.
